APLO Joint Training 2026 will take place between July 20th – 26th, 2026 in Bucharest, Romania. For the first time, the event will be held in person, bringing together students from across the world to prepare for the International Linguistics Olympiad.
Programme
The programme will include a combination of:
- lectures and workshops led by international trainers
- problem-solving sessions and collaborative activities
- student presentations
- social and team-building activities
- a cultural visit in or around Bucharest
A more detailed schedule will be announced closer to the event.
As part of the training, students were split into groups and had to give a presentation on a linguistics-related topic. The students’ presentations will be announced at the end of the training.
Venue
The event will take place at: Colegiul Tehnic „Iuliu Maniu” (Sector 6, Bucharest, Romania).
The venue will host both the academic activities and the accommodation of participants.

The APLO-JT 2026 will bring together delegations from a wide range of countries and regions. The list will be updated as participation is confirmed: Hong Kong, China;
